Guinness, Jameson, and some more Guinness and Jameson.
Here are a few things to do in a weekend in Dublin.
Queen of Tarts
Get a typical English breakfast and dessert at the highly rated Queen of Tarts.
Walk!
Bounce around the city. Explore the beautiful streets and bountiful bridges.
Dublin Castle
Check out the Dublin Castle.
Guinness Storehouse
A trip to Dublin is not complete without a stop at the Guinness Storehouse. Have some Guinness from the mother tap. You can also get a nice view of the city from the top floor.
Jameson Distillery
Unfortunately, the distillery was closed when I was there but I’m definitely making it there the next time I visit Dublin.
Walk again!
If you’ve spent the rest of your afternoon drinking Guinness and Jameson then the sun should be down and you can walk around the city again at night! I loved seeing the reflections on the river and all the bridges lit up.
Pre-Game
Prep for a night of drinking with beer and food at The Boxty House. They had a nice selection of beer and I ordered the Irish Coddle.
Drink at Temple Bar
There are many places to hear live music and drink in Dublin. Make a stop at the Temple Bar Pub in Temple Bar.
Irish Coffee
And whatever you do, don’t forget to have an Irish Coffee.
